On February 4, 2026, the “Hand in Hand Across Borders · Win Your Career in the Future” Spring Festival networking reception for Chinese enterprises and international students was successfully held at the Student Entrepreneurship Park of Zhejiang Gongshang University. Co-hosted by China-Africa Bridge and Lafeike Company, and supported by the School of International Education of ZJSU and the ZJSU Student Entrepreneurship Park, the event brought together eight outstanding Chinese enterprises and twenty-five international students from twelve countries, building bridges to employment through precise matching and writing a new chapter in school-enterprise cooperation and cross-cultural exchange through in-depth dialogue.
At the opening of the event, China-Africa Bridge unveiled a plaque designating the ZJSU Student Entrepreneurship Park as the “Lafeike Xiasha Higher Education Park Activity Center,” marking the official launch of a school-enterprise talent cooperation platform and giving ZJSU international students a long-term channel for engagement. Representatives of the organizers outlined China-Africa Bridge’s mission—“building a bridge for China-Africa trade services and a platform for young Chinese and African entrepreneurs”—and explained the unique role of the Lafeike platform in China-Africa business networking and talent matching, giving students and corporate guests a clear sense of the event’s purpose: building cross-cultural bridges to employment.
Corporate Presentations
Company representatives took the stage in turn, offering detailed overviews of their overseas market footprint, business plans for Africa, and hiring needs across such core sectors as foreign trade, manufacturing, construction, and auto parts. Their presentations were practical and thorough, covering job responsibilities, qualifications, compensation and benefits, and career paths. The international students listened attentively and took notes, and in the Q&A segment they engaged companies in depth on job fit, day-to-day work, and the practical realities of overseas operations, narrowing the distance between campus and the workplace.
Student Showcases
The international students introduced themselves one by one, sharing their nationalities, academic backgrounds, language skills, and career aspirations. Their diverse majors and fluent bilingual skills showcased the core strengths of globally mobile talent. They proactively highlighted their academic strengths, practical experience, and enthusiasm for the cross-cultural workplace, winning the attention and recognition of company representatives through solid expertise and an open, communicative manner—giving employers a clear view of the versatile, diverse talent suited to overseas operations.
Open Networking Session
The open networking session became the highlight of the day. Resumes in hand, students made their way to the booths of companies they were interested in, and one-on-one conversations allowed both sides to quickly assess fit. Many exchanged contact information on the spot, discussing internships and position details in depth and laying convenient groundwork for future cooperation. The session also gave students a more direct look at the strength of Chinese enterprises and their global footprint, broadening their own career horizons.
For international students staying on campus over the winter break, the event did more than provide a direct platform to meet quality Chinese employers; it gave them a precious opportunity to engage face-to-face with multinational companies and global talent, expanding career options for both sides while precisely matching the hiring needs of enterprises eyeing the African market—delivering a two-way benefit of “enterprise talent recruitment” and “international student career choice.” Looking ahead, the School of International Education will continue to deepen its work in talent cultivation and career services, leveraging quality school-enterprise partnerships to create more high-quality exchange and matching opportunities, so that more international students can realize their value in a cross-cultural workplace and embark on a new journey of shared success.
