On the afternoon of November 18, 2025, in response to the call to align talent cultivation with industry needs, ZJSU brought together more than 30 international students for the "E-Talent Global · Built With You" 2025 Cross-Border E-Commerce International Talent Matchmaking Fair. The event was designed to open a dialogue between international students and industry, helping them explore new career paths in cross-border e-commerce and seize fresh opportunities in this fast-growing field.
The fair was co-hosted by the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the China (Hangzhou) Cross-Border E-Commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone, the Exit-Entry Administration of the Hangzhou Public Security Bureau, and the Binjiang District People's Government. Dozens of Hangzhou cross-border e-commerce companies took part, spanning smart manufacturing, digital marketing, international logistics, supply-chain finance and other in-demand sectors, giving students a broad choice of roles.
At the fair, our international students held efficient, in-depth conversations with company representatives about job requirements and career development. They not only gathered a wealth of internship and full-time openings, but also gained a clear picture of current cross-border e-commerce trends and the competencies employers are looking for, pointing the way forward for their own professional growth. LO SHAO JUN, a student from Malaysia, said afterward that the fair offered an excellent platform for students, gave him a clearer sense of the real talent needs of the cross-border e-commerce industry, and provided clear guidance for his own career planning.
Beyond the recruitment zone, the program included a visit to the exhibition hall of the Alibaba Global Cross-Border Industry Base, which showcases the full chain of cross-border e-commerce services — from product selection and operations to incubation. The visit gave students a firsthand look at the cutting-edge technologies and operating models of the industry, helping them connect what they learn in class with real-world practice, broaden their industry vision, and build the knowledge base they will need in their future careers.

Organizing international students to attend this fair is both a direct response to talent needs in cross-border e-commerce and an important step in helping international students integrate into China's industrial development and realize their personal potential. Going forward, ZJSU will continue to build high-quality growth platforms for international students, widening employment channels and refining tailored services so that our graduates can find fuller, higher-quality employment. In doing so, the University will supply more globally minded professionals to industry and help cross-border e-commerce companies expand internationally and build their global footprint.
