Recently,international students from the Class of 2023 in the International Hotel Management program at the School of Tourism and Urban-Rural Planning have achieved outstanding results in their off-campus internships. During their internships at prestigious hotels in Hangzhou, including Amanfayun, Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at WestLake, Inter Continental, and Conrad, the students have earn edunanimous praise from colleagues and hotel management alike for their solid professional competence, positive work attitude, and exceptional cross-cultural service skills.
Among them, Angelina Michelle Susanto (Li Suqi) from Indonesia was recognized as the "BestIntern of the Fourth Quarter" by her host hotel for heroutstanding performance, fully demonstrating the professional capabilities of our international students and the effectiveness of our international talent cultivation.
Since the beginningof this year, the School has sent a number of international students from the International Hotel Management program to frontline positions at premium hotels across Hangzhou. The students have immersed themselves in their roles and pursued proactive growth: they have not only quickly mastered skills in front office and housekeeping operations, but also delivered high-quality service toguests from diverse cultural backgrounds through their fluent multilingual abilities and attentive service mindset. Many students have also devoted their spare time to learning about local cultural tourism resources, proactively offering itinerary suggestions toguests and enhancing their experience through thoughtful gestures.Their sunny, friendly personalities and collaborative attitudes have helped them integrate quickly into their internship teams, injecting positive energy into the workplace.

During her internship at the Front Office Department of Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at WestLake, she quickly adapted to her role with remarkable learning ability, repeatedly assisting with foreign guest check-in procedures and effectively easing the workload at the front desk. Her initiative in familiarizing herself with local tourism resources and offering itinerary suggestions to guests earned repeated commendations,ultimately leading to her selection as "Best Intern of the Fourth Quarter" in recognition of her overall performance.
